Description

The Euro-Asia Business Internship Programme (EABIP) was a company placement scheme of DG External Relations targeting students of business studies and other subject areas in the European Union and China/Japan. Students were offered internships in companies on the other continent, and during the pilot phase from October 1998 to December 1999, 100 European students spent an internship in China and Japan, and the same number of Asian students came to Europe. Participating students and companies were highly satisfied with their EABIP experience.

Under the consortium leadership of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), ACA was entrusted by the European Commission with the implementation of the EABIP programme together with its other members CIMO and ÖAD, as well as the Utrecht Network. The EABIP Technical Assistance Office was located in Brussels.
