Campus Hungary Internationalization Audit 2013-2015

Duration

January 2013 - December 2015

Description

ACA’s Hungarian member Tempus Public Foundation (TPF) established an assessment of the internationalisation activities of Hungarian higher education institutions in the framework of Campus Hungary programme between 2013-2015.

ACA was involved from the start as the main partner in preparing the methodological guide for the assessment procedure together with other institutional leaders and staff working in the field of internationalisation and representatives of governing bodies from Hungary.

The audit process was based on the assessment of several dimensions of the internationalisation activities using qualitative and quantitative indicators. The objective of the initiative on one hand was to facilitate an external quality assessment process, and on the other hand to assist the institutions in improving quality in all areas on their international activities.

The evaluation committee for each audit consisted of two Hungarian and one foreign expert, who was in every case a representative of ACA.

Participation in the audit exercise was on a voluntary basis. Ten Hungarian higher education institutions representing large universities from Budapest and from the countryside, large and emerging colleges, medical school, art school and a church-owned university too part in this round of the audits.

ACA experts involved in this project were Project Manager Queenie K.H. Lam and Director Bernd Wächter.
