“What’s new in Brussels” seminar appreciated by participants

The first in the ACA European Policy Seminars of 2006 took place in Brussels on the 24 February. The title of the event was "What's new in Brussels: recent developments in European policy", and it covered a variety of items in the European Higher Education agenda, namely the new lifelong learning programme, Erasmus Mundus, EDULINK higher education cooperation programme with Africa-Pacific-Caribbean countries, the development of the idea for a European Institute of Technology, as well as higher education related news from the Commission DG for Research.

The seminar was met with great popularity, and indeed registrations had to be closed almost four weeks prior to the event as all places had already been filled up. ACA is looking forward to the next events (see elsewhere in ACA News).
