Responsible bodies, initiatives and programmes

UDI (Norwegian Directorate of Immigration) offers integration reception, i.e. services to the residents together with the municipality, the local career center and the NAV office. The services are part of a full-time program that the residents commit to participating in.

 

NAV is the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration, which provides support and guidance linked to labour market and employment matter.  The 456 NAV offices operate at local level in the country's municipalities and city boroughs. NAV services are listed here

 

IMDI (Directorate for Integration and Diversity) provides support for highly skilled refugees. You can access more information here about the Directorate's general introduction programme for refugees

 

SAR Norway (Coordinator: University of Agder) provides support for at-risk scholars and works with national and international organisations working to promote Human Rights and to protect Human Rights Defenders. It does not providing funding, but supports Norwegian higher education institutions and SAR-International in providing placements for scholars at risk.
