Description
The CARe project (Career Advancement for Refugee Researchers in Europe) is a 24-month project aiming to support the integration of researchers with a refugee background into the European research labour market.
The aim of the project will be achieved through research and dissemination activities, by adopting a multi-level and multi-stakeholder approach. The activities will serve two main purposes:
The project targets 10 European countries with a high number of asylum seekers, an absorption capacity of the Research and Development (R&D) labour market and supportive environment to facilitate refugee researchers’ entry and integration in the labour market (Austria, Belgium/Flanders, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands).
The core consortium is composed of the Brussels-based ACA Secretariat (the coordinator), and ACA members DAAD (Germany) and EDUFI (Finland). The Advisory Board includes experts from ACA’s member SAIA (Slovakia) as well as from Norcore (Norway) and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the German Section of the Scholars at Risk Network (SAR).
