Internationalisation for all? Wider inclusion in the internationalisation of higher education
Theme
The event will be dedicated to exploring the question of how to achieve wider inclusion in international higher education activities. The idea of inclusion is very often mentioned in recent national-level and EU policy documents, including in the proposal for the Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027, but it is still to be fully defined as a policy goal and to be further operationalised for a successful implementation.
The event will feature the views of the European Commission, of ACA members, i.e. national-level agencies and actors, of higher education institutions and student organisations. The speakers will provide concrete examples on how to achieve better inclusiveness in practice, of various underrepresented groups in higher education. The focus will first and foremost be on socio-economically disadvantaged groups.
The event is co-organised by ACA with the DAAD Brussels Office, Diku Brussels Office and Flanders Knowledge Area (FKA).
