Online Talk Sweden

This Online Talk will focus on Sweden. The event will first have a look on potential national and institutional support available for researchers with refugee background/at risk helping to integrate into the research landscape as well as share an example about successful routes to integration in the science landscape. Moreover, we will reflect on alternative pathways as we will introduce a programme that could help researchers/academics matchmaking with employers outside of academia.

The main goals of the event

• Propose potential actions and initiatives at national and institutional level that could help researchers with refugee background/at risk integrating into academia
• Propose potential programme available to support academics outside of Europe in matchmaking with employers from labour market
• Share experiences of pathways on how to successfully integrate into research market
• Discuss main challenges (short and long-term) and potential ways to overcome them (at national/European level)
