CARe Online Talk Austria

This Online Talk will focus on career perspectives for researchers at risk/with refugee background in Austria. The speakers will introduce available national and institutional support structures and programmes, as well as sharing experiences on migrating the research and resilience. Moreover, we will introduce a contact point for guidance in supporting recognition of qualifications for people who gained professional qualifications abroad.

The main goals of the event

  • Propose potential actions and initiatives at national and institutional level that could help researchers with refugee background/at risk integrating into academia
  • Propose support structures for guidance and recognition of qualifications gained outside of Europe
  • Share experiences of pathways on how to integrate into research market
  • Discuss main challenges (short and long-term) and potential ways to overcome them (at national/European level)
