Mark your calendars for 29 – 30 January 2026 and join us in Brussels to explore the future of Erasmus+!
The draft Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and the proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council, establishing the next Erasmus+ programme (2028–2034), reaffirm existing priorities in higher education, while introducing new themes and questions, leaving much for the higher education sector to anticipate.
The 2026 edition of What’s New in Brussels, ACA’s flagship seminar, will provide an opportunity to reflect on ongoing policy and programme developments shaping the final Erasmus+ calls of 2026–2027, while also offering early insights into the priorities and implementation modalities of the forthcoming Erasmus+ programme and its potential synergies with Horizon Europe and the European Competitiveness Fund.
Aligning with the themes of the proposed MFF by the European Commission on competitiveness, innovation, global influence and shared values, the forthcoming Erasmus+ programme (2028 – 2034) underlines support for such themes through its core priorities: mobility, international cooperation, inclusion and diversity, and the European University alliances. What’s new in Brussels integrates these topics to provide a mix of high-level panel discussions, providing an overview of policy and programme developments in both intra-European and international dimensions of Erasmus+, and interactive parallel sessions that delve into thematic and regional priorities.
The parallel sessions will ignite dynamic exchanges on inclusive and digitally enhanced mobility, the European Universities alliances, the new opportunities for joint programmes linked to the European Degree (label), and international partnerships with Europe’s priority regions, both in its immediate neighbourhood and around the globe.
What’s new in Brussels is a must-attend for European and international higher education professionals, policymakers, and national and regional stakeholders. Whether you’re seeking answers to pressing questions, updates on the latest policy shifts, or inspiration for new projects, the seminar has something for everyone.
