During the Uni-Italia Extraordinary Assembly that took place on 15 March at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation an important statutory amendment was approved and a new board of directors was elected.

Uni-Italia has been active for over ten years in promoting the Italian system of higher education and is now recognised at the institutional level as a reference structure in the field of academic promotion. Furthermore, the newly elected Board of Directors, chaired by Prof. Francesco Profumo, is composed of the Min. Plen. Alessandro De Pedys (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – MAECI), Dr Gianluigi Consoli (Ministry of University and Research – MUR), Prefect Paolo Formicola (Ministry of Interior), Dr Carlo Ferro (Italian Trade Agency, Prof. Maurizio Tira (CRUI) and Dr Barbara Beltrame Giacomello (Confindustria). Dr Alberto Ortolani has been confirmed as the Secretary General, a role in which he will be joined by the newly appointed Deputy Secretary General, Annalisa Di Calisto.
