The UNESCO’s Education for All (EFA) – Global Monitoring Report is an annual publication prepared by an independent team based at UNESCO. It monitors progress towards the six Education for All goals adopted in Dakar, Senegal in 2000. These goals range from expanding early childhood care and education to achieving a 50% improvement in adult literacy rates and all other aspects of the quality of education.This year’s edition of the EFA Report is a mid-term assessment of where the world stands on its commitment to provide basic education for all children, youth and adults by 2015.
