Two prominent organisations join ACA

During the Autumn 2025 General Assembly, ACA members had the pleasure to welcome to the network two new member organisations – The Agenzia Nazionale Erasmus+ INDIRE, a newcomer to the association, with established links to many ACA members, and Campus France, a returning member and a long-standing cooperation partner of the ACA Secretariat and its member organisations. 

The National Agency for Erasmus+ INDIRE is housed under the National Institute of Documentation, Innovation, and Educational Research (INDIRE), which has supported the development of the Italian education system for, since its inception in 1925, by investing in training and innovation and supporting improvement processes. As one of three Erasmus+ National Agencies in Italy, INDIRE is responsible for the fields of higher, as well as school and adult education, being seated in Florence and Rome. In its capacity as National Agency it handles, on behalf of the European Commission, the typical tasks at national level:  

  • Information on and promotion of the Erasmus+ programme; 
  • Guidance for beneficiaries in finding partners; 
  • Financial management of the programme’s funding flow to beneficiaries; 
  • Consultancy and support during the application phases; 
  • Evaluation and selection of applications (with external experts); 
  • Assistance to beneficiary institutions throughout the project life-cycle; 
  • Qualitative monitoring and administrative, procedural, and financial control of approved projects; 
  • Organisation of training and information events; 
  • Support for the promotion and dissemination of the programme’s experiences and principles; 
  • Relationships with national and international stakeholders to foster implementation and synergy within the Erasmus+ programme; 
  • Management of media relations, providing information on the programme and dissemination of experiences.  

Campus France is a public institution under the joint supervision of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Headquartered in Paris, with 200 employees spread between Paris and its five regional offices in Marseille, Montpellier, Strasbourg, and Toulouse, the organisation represents nearly 370 French institutions and research institutions through the Campus France Forum, and operates a global network of  275 Campus France offices in 134 countries, under the responsibility of French embassies. 

Campus France holds overall responsibility for the promotion of the French higher education system abroad. Specifically, the organisation 

  • promotes the educational offerings of French institutions through several tools and initiatives, such as: website factsheets; online cataloguess listing Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees, as well as programs taught in English in France; events organised in France and abroad in collaboration with Campus France offices abroad; by integrating students into institutions who are funded by the French government or through agreements signed with foreign governments or other entities (companies, foundations, etc.). 
  • implements scholarship and mobility programs, overseeing numerous scholarship programmess (including) publishing calls for applications. 
  • welcomes foreign students and researchers to France, by providing them researchers with all the information they need to prepare for their stay and settle in France. The organisation also works to ensuree that foreign students and researchers feel welcome, by helping higher education institutions and local authorities to improve their reception and integration systems. 
  • facilitates the international mobility of French students, by providing assistance and expertise to French students wishing to study abroad and managing scholarship programmess for French students, such as the programme for students studying Arabic and the programme for admission to the College of Europe. 
  • coordinates the French higher education alumni network – the France Alumni platform – in more than 134 countries. The network has 630.000 members worldwide.
