In this short document, the League of European Research Universities (LERU) highlights what it sees as the key benefits of the Marie Curie Actions in Framework Programme 7 (FP7) and gives specific recommendations for their continuation as the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions in Horizon 2020. The recommendations are, for example, the simplification of the Marie Curie scheme, the involvement of industry in training, researcher mobility, gender equality, etc.
