The DZS Awards Ceremony 2019

On Thursday 12th December, the Czech National Agency for International Education (DZS) organised already the second year of the DZS Awards Ceremony for the best projects in various programmes, such as Erasmus+, eTwinning, Euroguidance, or CEEPUS. Newly, the Study in the Czech Republic initiative added two categories – the best practice in the internationalisation of HEIs and the best international alumni.

The winner of the first category is Charles University with its project Alliance 4EU+, which was successfully approved in the very first pilot round of the European Universities Call. The project partners from six countries focus on building a common integrated university system to strengthen the cooperation in research, innovations, education and services, sharing the infrastructures, and student and staff mobility.

At last, there were even three selected best international alumni – Aakash Ravi from India – founder of successful company Spaceti dealing with security of buildings, Miljan Erbez from Bosnia and Hercegovina – agribusiness specialist developing the Czech-Bosnian cooperation within the cattle breeding, and Hadi al Khatib from Syria – expert for the refugees rights with special focus on capacity building.
