UNESCO recently launched a journal to create better visibility of the Organization’s involvement and achievements in Africa. Entitled
UNESCO IN AFRICA, the journal’s ambition is to create
a space for exchanges, dialogue and information sharing, not only for the benefit of specialists from the region and around the world, but also for all those with an interest in the activities, new ideas and innovative experiences generated by UNESCO.
The
first issues is dedicated to higher education cooperation in Africa. It was published to reflect both the UNESCO World Conference on Higher Education in general (Paris, July 2009, see
ACA Newsletter – Education Europe, July 2009) and the Regional Conference on Higher Education in Africa in particular (Dakar, November 2008).
