Thailand launches exchange programme with Europe

The Commission on Higher Education of the Ministry of Education of Thailand has just launched a fellowship programme for academic exchanges between Thailand and Europe. The DUO-Thailand Fellowship allows students, researchers or teaching staff to undertake financially supported reciprocal exchanges between cooperating higher education institutions, one located in one of the EU ASEM countries and the other in Thailand.

The DUO-Thailand Fellowship is a new addition to the already existing ASEM-DUO Fellowship Programme, which, established in 2001 with funding from the ASEM countries, aims to contribute to enhancing academic cooperation between the EU and Asian ASEM countries. Besides the new Thai addition, there are four programmes available: DUO-Denmark, DUO-France, DUO-Korea and DUO-Singapore.

Applications can be submitted by both EU and Thai higher education institutions, and they should be submitted in pair. The eligible disciplines are: health sciences, tropical medicine, tourism and hospitality management, nanotechnology, biotechnology, neuroscience, software and digital technology, fashion design and logistics.
