As part of the Study in Europe project, ACA has been leading a number of webinars and networking meetings. In the most recent webinar, titled ‘Study in Europe webinar for promo agencies – Working with student ambassadors’ and held on 15 March 2022, over 33 participants from the national agencies of 20 different countries took part in discussing about marketing and how to work with student ambassadors to get the maximum benefit.
The webinar aimed at examining the best cases of working with student ambassadors, recognising the excellent opportunity they provide by sharing their experiences, answering questions and/or delivering content through various channels. Moderated by Raul Ranne, ACA Senior Advisor, it comprised two presentations and two case studies, highlighting the importance of creating a human connection between university/country and potential students.
The presentation by Nik Higgins and Thamasha De Silva from The Ambassador Platform, gave an overview on the advantages and reasons why you should work with students ambassadors and shared a number of great tips and good ideas to do this successfully. The following presentation by Hayley Shields from Edified approached the how to use student voices to promote the study experience, through the lens of Australia and New Zealand’s higher education institutions.
As for the case studies that followed, Study in Estonia and Study in Sweden gave useful insights about their work with student ambassadors, while the this session also served as an interactive opportunity to hear from other agencies, sharing their own experiences on the topic.
