This October, Tirana will host a series of high-level events under the Study in Europe initiative (see ACA Newsletter – Education Europe, June 2024), highlighting different dimensions of European engagement in the Western Balkans. Over three days, activities will range from policy dialogue and institutional cooperation to the promotion of study opportunities, bringing together a diverse mix of stakeholders in higher education.
9 October – EU Policy Event 2025: Advancing Quality Assurance and Recognition in the Western Balkans
The programme will begin with this hybrid event on 9 October, organised by ACA, which will explore current EU initiatives to strengthen quality assurance and recognition in higher education systems across the Western Balkans, fostering dialogue among policymakers, practitioners, and institutional leaders.

10 October – Contact-Building Seminar for Higher Education Institutions
This hybrid seminar, also organised by ACA, will support practical cooperation between institutions from the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro) and Erasmus+ programme countries. The focus will be on International Credit Mobility (ICM), Erasmus Mundus (EM), and Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), with thematic sessions and structured matchmaking opportunities.
While onsite participation is now closed (following a previous expression of interest process), online participation remains open, offering a flexible opportunity to connect via the B2Match platform.

11 October – Study in Europe Fair
The event series will conclude with the Study in Europe Fair, organised by Campus France, which will present study opportunities across Europe to students, academics and other audiences from the region.
