In September, NAWA and the ACA Secretariat organised a series of joint meetings and training activities aiming to raise NAWA staff members’ awareness about key EU policies and programmes in higher education and research.

The ACA Secretariat held a meeting led by the Director Paweł Kurzyński on 7 September in Brussels. The meeting provided the opportunity to exchange experience gained by NAWA through the implementation of its funding programmes supporting academics from Ukraine and Belarus and in the context of ACA’s work on refugee scholars as part of the EU-funded CARE project.

A more comprehensive online training programme supporting professional development of NAWA staff will be delivered by the ACA Secretariat staff on 30 September. Designed as part of Study in ACAdemy training series, this training will touch upon all major EU policies and programmes with relevance for (international) higher education and research and focus on their practical implications for NAWA professionals’ daily work.
