On 30 November 2011, the European Commission’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) published a call for proposals to support joint mobility projects (JMP) and joint degree projects (JDP) under the Industrialised Countries Instrument (ICI) education cooperation programme. The new call aims to promote cooperation in higher education and training of the EU with Australia and with the Republic of Korea. Specifically, projects should focus on structured exchanges of students and faculty members, and the development of joint or shared curricular and study programmes (development of innovative international curricular; student services, language and cultural preparation; and organisational frameworks for student and staff mobility, etc.).
Eligibility is limited to applicants from one of the partner countries and from the 27 EU member states. Applications have to be submitted both to the EU and the implementing institutions in Australia (Australian Department of Education, DEEWR) and in the Republic of Korea (National Research Foundation of Korea, NRF). These partner institutions provide co-funding comparable to the EU contribution in accordance with their own rules and procedures. The maximum amount of funding on the EU side is EUR 350 000 for a four-year JDP project with two or more EU institutions, and EUR 262 500 for a three-year JMP project with three or more EU institutions. More detailed information about the call can be found on the EACEA’s website.Budget: approx. EUR 2.3 million Deadline: 30 March 2012 EACEA
