“Mobility-migration nexus: policies, practices, discourses and evidence” is the title of ACA's next European Policy Seminar. As the title suggests, the seminar will focus on the links between international mobility and highly skilled migration, current trends, links and gaps between policies and practices, contemporary discourses and existing evidence on the two types of movement. We will look at both voluntary and forced migration, discuss how countries attract and retain global talent, how recruitment and retention are supported at the EU and national level, and how and to which extent the potential of international talent is being used, in the context of both international student mobility and the integration of the highly skilled population with a refugee background.
The event is designed for higher education institutions, national and EU policymakers, national-level agencies and scholarship providers, organisations supporting highly skilled migrants, employers and all other stakeholders interested in practice and evidence on highly skilled migration.
