SALTO Inclusion and Diversity (Education and Training), run by the Croatian Erasmus+ agency, published two factsheets on inclusion and diversity in Erasmus+. These publications, developed in cooperation with the German Erasmus+ agency in the field of higher education (DAAD), serve as a guide to navigate the landscape of Erasmus+ opportunities for students and higher education institutions across Europe.
Erasmus+ Opportunities for Stays Abroad is a two-pager primarily intended for students. It gives an overview of the Erasmus+ programme in general and inclusion and diversity as one of its horizontal priorities, before shifting focus to categories which may be entitled to additional support and costs that might be supported. The document also mentions preparatory visits as a useful mechanism that provides the opportunity to facilitate necessary logistical arrangements, while the final section introduces some of the relatively new opportunities for international experiences, including blended mobilities and Blended Intensive Programmes. Internationalisation through Erasmus+ targets higher education institutions and describes support mechanisms offered by Erasmus+ agencies, who provide comprehensive advice, organise training and cooperation activities and facilitate knowledge sharing, networking and promotion of success stories. The document also underscores the strategic use of Erasmus+ opportunities, encouraging HEIs to leverage Erasmus+ to promote inclusion, increase diversity and contribute to qualitative improvements in teaching, science, and research.
Both publications are available on the SALTO website under the Resources section and will be shared with the network of inclusion officers for further promotion among HEIs in countries participating in the programme.
