SAIA Call for applications: National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic

The Slovak Academic Information Agency (SAIA) has released a new call for applications within the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic (NSP). It is open for study, research and teaching stays during the academic year 2017/2018.

NSP supports study/research/teaching/artistic mobility of foreign students, PhD students, university teachers, researchers and artists to stay at higher education institutions and research organisations in Slovakia. The scholarship shall cover scholarship holders’ living costs (accommodation, board, etc.) during their study/research/teaching/artistic stay in Slovakia.

NSP also supports mobility of students, PhD students and PostDocs at Slovak higher education institutions with a permanent residence in Slovakia to stay at higher education institutions and research organisations abroad. The eligible candidates can apply for a travel grant (a grant that should cover a part of their travel costs related to their study/research stay abroad).

In 2005, the National Scholarship Programme for the Support of Mobility of University Students, PhD Students, University Teachers, Researchers and Artists was established by the approval of the Government of the Slovak Republic. The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic is funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.

The Application forms for the scholarships stays should be submitted no later than 30th April, 2016 by 16:00 CET (4:00 pm Central European Time) online at www.stipendia.sk or at www.scholarships.sk.

The applicants can find detailed information about the Programme at www.scholarships.sk in Slovak, English, Russian, French and Spanish language.
