The European Commission has launched the Public Consultations on both Erasmus+ and its predecessors, as well as the Key Competences for Lifelong Learning.

Stakeholders and the general public may now provide feedback on Erasmus + including forgone programmes as Lifelong Learning, Youth in Action, Erasmus Mundus, etc.,  with the objective to assess the effectiveness of measures and their implementation so far, as well the programmes added value in terms of opportunities and challenges faced by the educational sectors. Results will contribute to the Mid-term evaluation of Erasmus+, due to be finalised by the end of 2017, and contributions to the Public consultation Announced in the frame of the New Skills agenda for Europe in June 2016, the Public consultation on Key competences for life longlearning is now open, for policy makers, citizens and practitioners to provide their feedback until 19 May 2017. The consultation has the specific effort to take forward the European Parliament and the Council’s 2006 Recommendation on Key Competences for Lifelong Learning, and to define those competences necessary for active citizenship, social inclusion and employment in a future oriented education and training system in Europe.  Results of the consultation will be published by June 2017 and a revised Key competences framework is to be presented by the end of this year.
