Professor Dürrstein elected new ÖAD President

Professor Hubert Dürrstein was elected the new President of the Austrian Exchange Service (ÖAD) in December 2007. Succeeding on Alfred Ebenbauer, who unexpectedly died in 2007, Professor Dürrstein’s term of office lasts until 30 September 2009. The priority aim of his presidency is to finalise the transformation of ÖAD into a limited liability company of the Austrian state.

Professor Dürrstein was born in Würzburg/Germany and studied Forestry at the University of Munich.  He is a Professor of Forestry Engineering and Forestry Work at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna, where he was also Rector between 2003 and 2007. Professor Dürrstein holds an honorary PhD from the University of Cluj in Romania.
