Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) is pleased to announce opening of the three calls for proposals addressed to international students!

Poland My First Choice scholarship programme aims to encourage young talented people from the countries listed below to pursue studies at the best Polish HEIs.  The Programme offers an opportunity to pursue full-time second-cycle studies at public and private HEIs in every field of studies offered by the highest level education institutions - i.e. those classified to the A and A+ category under the latest parametric evaluation – subordinate to the Minister of Science and Higher Education, with a monthly NAWA scholarship amounting to PLN 2,000 (ca. EUR 460) during the period of education in Poland. In the case of public HEIs, the Programme also offers an exemption from education fees. The scholarship offer is addressed to foreigners – the citizens of the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Chile, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Canada, Republic of Korea, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Sweden, Uruguay, USA, Hungary, Italy, the United Kingdom and to Chinese citizens residing in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.The candidates shall be qualified under the competition procedure, based on the results of an interview conducted by an Evaluation Committee.

Ignacy Łukasiewicz Scholarship Programme is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), implemented as part of the Polish development assistance programme. The Programme aim is to support the socio-economic growth of developing countries through raising the level of knowledge and education of their citizens. Scholarship holders will be recruited from the following countries: Angola, Colombia, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Lebanon, Mexico, Myanmar, Nigeria, Palestine, Peru, The Republic of South Africa, The Philippines, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda and Vietnam, also to other countries covered by Official Development Assistance, with the exception of developing countries of Europe and Central Asia. Participation in the Programme enable to undertake second-cycle studies at public and non-public universities in Poland supervised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, in the following fields of science: engineering and technology, agricultural sciences and natural sciences, benefiting from an exemption from public university fees and a monthly Scholarship from NAWA. Second cycle degree studies are preceded by a preparatory course to facilitate undertaking studies in Poland, which is also covered by the scholarship. Candidates are selected on the basis of the calls for proposals announced on the annual basis. Application process for the Programme is operated by NAWA’s ICT system, available here.

Stefan Banach Scholarship Programme is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), implemented as part of the Polish development assistance programme. The Programme aims to support the socio-economic growth of developing countries by improving the knowledge and education of the citizens of Eastern Partnership, Central Asian and Western Balkan countries. The Scholarship offer is addressed to the citizens of countries identified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as having priority status for the Programme: Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, as well as the following Western Balkan countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia and Serbia. The Programme offers an opportunity to pursue second-cycle studies in the full-time mode in Polish or in English in the field of engineering and technology, agricultural sciences and natural sciences at public and non-public universities subordinate to the Minister of Science and Higher Education, benefiting from an exemption from public university fees and a monthly Scholarship from NAWA in the statutory period of studying in Poland. The Programme covers 1-month language and adaptation course with a scholarship or a 1-year/semester preparatory course with a scholarship, preceding the studies in Poland. The candidates shall be qualified under the competition procedure, based on the results of an interview conducted by an Evaluation Committee appointed by the Director of NAWA. m to teach and promote Polish language and Polish culture abroad by enabling foreign students to participate free of charge in several-week long Polish language and culture courses organized in Poland. The program is addressed to students learning Polish as a foreign language, as well as to those who are just planning to start learning. The aim of the Program is to encourage foreign students to continue learning Polish after returning to their universities or to study in Poland. The program is also addressed to foreigners working at foreign academic centres as teachers of Polish language who, thanks to participating in the Program, will improve their communication and didactic competence and meet other foreign language teachers
