Policy-practice-research at ACA’s European Policy Seminar “Mobility-migration nexus”

On 9 November ACA held its third European Policy Seminar (EPS) of this year titled Mobility-migration nexus: policies, practices, discourses and evidence. The seminar gathered some 50 participants – researchers, EU officials, representatives of national governments, higher education institutions (HEIs) and European associations – for a day of discussion on talent recruitment and retention, alumni engagement, brain drain / waste prevention, refugee integration and other areas linking academic mobility and skilled migration.
Speakers at the seminar were renowned researchers in the areas of mobility and migration, representatives of the European Commission responsible for EU-level initiatives and legal frameworks in support of skilled migration, representatives of national-level organisations with good practices in tackling skilled migration and leaders of projects contributing to the field through academic support for refugee students and scholars.
ACA would like to thank all the speakers and participants for their contributions and active engagement at the seminar, which made the event a perfect occasion for getting informed, learning and networking among stakeholders with complementary expertise and common interest.

ACA’s next European Policy Seminar will take place on 1 February 2019 in Brussels. More information about the event and programme can be found here.
