Perceptions study: Country reports now online

In the April edition of this newsletter, ACA announced the online publication of the ACA study “Perceptions of European higher education in third countries” by the European Commission. In the context of this study, next to large-scale surveys, interviews were carried out with stakeholders in six “target countries”, namely Brazil, Mexico, China, India, Russia and Thailand. Additionally, international students in the US were asked why they had chosen to study there, and not in the EU.

The findings of these interviews and if the US-side study, together with background information on higher education and internationalisation in the respective countries, were presented in the form of country reports by ACA’s project partners, the local offices of the British Council (India, Thailand), the DAAD (Brazil, Mexico), EduFrance (Russia) and Nuffic (China), as well as the IIE headquarters in New York (US side-study). The European Commission has now published the online version of these country reports on the Erasmus Mundus website.

ACA wishes to thank all country coordinators for their most valuable contributions.
