OpenU project starts, with DAAD as key partner

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is happy to announce the launch of the OpenU project. The project aims at developing a European platform to support blended and online learning, academic cooperation and virtual mobility, with a view to pave the way for the establishment of an ‘eU.university’ and to further enhance the internationalisation of European universities through digital means. This 3-year project, funded under Erasmus+ key action 3, is coordinated by Panthéon-Sorbonne University. It involves 21 European partners and it is divided into 5 thematic clusters.

DAAD is leading the ‘policy cluster’ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. It coordinates the participation of six Ministries of Education - from Belgium, France, Germany, Latvia, Portugal and Spain - as well as the involvement of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). The project’s policy cluster will offer webinars and policy dialogues, engaging both national and European level representatives at the different stages of the project.
