Warren, A. P., Windsor, G., Mavroudi, E., Vasishta, T. Open for business? Survey of international student perceptions of post-study in the UK. Loughborough University and Paragon Law Ltd., Loughborough, 2013. Pages: 22.
This study focuses on international students’ perception about the United Kingdom (UK) as a place to enter further study, look for skilled employment or engage in entrepreneurial activities. The method used for the study was an online survey, which covered a total of 585 international students from different higher education levels (undergraduate, masters and doctoral students). The main results indicate that 58% of the respondents intend to leave the UK after graduation, most of them for their home countries (84%). International students planning to stay in the UK upon graduation were mainly motivated by opportunities to work (62%) or to study further (26%).
