Cedefop, the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training, published country statistical overviews providing an overall picture of vocational education and training policies and lifelong learning in European countries. The overviews, presented as statistical snapshots,  are available for all the 28 EU member states as well as the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey. They comprise 31 indicators based on international statistics for access, attractiveness and flexibility, skill development and labour market relevance, as well as overall transitions and employment trends. The data are accompanied by a short analysis highlighting key points that are interesting for each country and allow an easy comparison between member states and the EU average.
