This is a review of major issues in the Dutch evaluation and assessment framework in education, current policy initiatives and possible future approaches. Some of the issues tackled in the report are student assessment, teacher appraisal, and education system evaluation. The report ends with a set of recommendations that could, despite the Dutch high position in education achievements, help improve certain aspects of the education system and bring it to a step further.
