Within the context of the European Commission-funded European Higher Education Fairs (EHEFs), ACA's members EduFrance, DAAD, Nuffic and British Council are organising two Asia-Link Symposia in Bangkok, Thailand on 10th November 2006 and in New Delhi, India on 24th November 2006. The events are open to representatives of higher education institutions and academic networks as well as government officials, key senior-level managers and policy makers from Asia and Europe.

The aim of the events is to enhance mutual awareness and to encourage the development of EU Asian cooperation in the field of higher education. The symposia will provide a platform for high level dialogue and for developing awareness of EU mechanisms and programmes. Participants will also be invited to take part in the matchmaking activity which brings together European and Asian professionals in the field of higher education in order to discuss possible cooperation projects and share experience. The online registration procedure will be open until 15th September 2006. Participation in the events is free of charge.
