On 16-17 November, the ACA Secretariat attended the final meeting of the Study in Europe project – the EU-supported global promotion initiative of Europe as a study destination. The meeting was kindly hosted in Tallinn by one of the project partners - the Archimedes Foundation, Estonia’s national agency for internationalisation and Erasmus+. It was attended by all project partners, who in addition to ACA and Archimedes Foundation, include the British Council, Campus France, DAAD and Nuffic.
The aim of the meeting was to agree on the final steps in the conclusion of this three-year project and prepare for possible continuation, for which the same consortium had applied in August this year in response to a call for tender. To the consortium’s pleasure, the meeting has brought the good news that the European Commission’s DG Education and Culture has approved the proposal and the Study in Europe project will be run by the same consortium at least until 2020. The second phase of the project will comprise six Study in Europe fairs, managing the
Study in Europe portal and
Facebook page, maintaining and strengthening cooperation with the internationalisation agencies in the Erasmus+ programme countries through face to face meetings and peer learning webinars.
The ACA Secretariat looks forward to being part of the Study in Europe again and to working with the Advisory Board consisting of Slovak Academic Information Agency (SAIA), Erasmus+ Student and Alumni Association (ESAA), Spanish National Agency for internationalisation and Erasmus+ (SEPIE) and the Swedish Institute, Sweden’s internationalisation agency.
