The DAAD and the Indian University Grants Commission (UGC) are intensifying their cooperation. Between 2016 and 2020 both partners will provide 3.5 million Euros to a new cooperation programme aimed at fostering and widening academic collaboration and cooperation between the two countries.
Indian students are the second most represented international students in Germany. Their number has almost doubled in the last four years (currently 11800).
