DZS: student mobility experience and third Czeducon

Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (DZS) carried out a qualitative research devoted to the experience of participants in bilateral and multilateral mobility programmes: AKTION, AIA, CEEPUS and the EEA Funds.

The aim of the in-depth interviews was to map the specifics of each programme through the opinions of the participants themselves. The interviews showed that the monitored programmes are more often chosen by people who already have some experience with a study exchange abroad - usually from the Erasmus+ programme. These are usually students with a great interest in their field of study or the chosen destination they want to visit, and they are looking for the best way to do so.

AKTION, AIA and CEEPUS programmes are appreciated as a good opportunity to work on a research or write a final thesis. At the same time, participants appreciate the possibility of repeated exchanges through these programmes which are necessary for research.

Furthermore, the third year of Czeducon, a forum on international higher education organized by Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (DZS) was held in June.

The conference, bearing the theme “(Un)prepared for Changes?” offered over 40 sessions and panel discussions focused on four main topics: Crisis Management, New Erasmus+ Programme Period, New International Priorities and Strategic Management, and Capacity Building.

During the three conference days, presentations of experts in international cooperation and internationalization of higher education from the Czech Republic and abroad were visited by nearly seven hundred participants. More information about the event can be found on DZS website.
