HERANA Gateway – a new online search portal was launched by the Centre for Higher Education Transformation, based in South Africa, with the purpose to provide an easier access for academics, policy makers and researchers to research-based information relating to African higher education. The development of this online tool was motivated by the stringent need to provide a single information source that pulls together the fragmented and scattered research outputs on African higher education.

Using Google technology, the Gateway returns search results from more than 15 sites worldwide. But compared to Google itself, HERANA Gateway promises to deliver more focused results, thereby reducing the possibility of search engine fatigue.

Herana Gateway
