Education Insight unveiled a new tool for British universities for international recruitment. This new asset has the objective of measuring the strengths and weaknesses of UK Higher education institutions.

The Global Engagement Index uses 30 new measures (such as student body diversity, international students proportions, students studying offshore etc.) to deliver overall scores out of five for UK universities instead of focusing on the number of international students recruited or the income derived from their tuition fee.

The index comes as Brexit approaches and thus the probable exit of the UK from the ERASMUS programme and promises new possibilities for UK universities to keep an influence in the international mobility world.
