New findings and good practices for promoting innovation

OECD. Innovating to Learn, Learning to Innovate. OECD Publishing, 2008. ISBN: 9-789-264-047-976. Pages: 257.

Innovation and Learning are important success factors of today’s knowledge society, especially in the context of new economic challenges. They are also essential for cultural and social participation. This new OECD publication includes findings from the learning sciences, and explores concrete examples in OECD countries, ranging from alternative schools to specific cases in Mexico, in which the actors are seeking to break the mould and grasp the principles emerging from learning science research.

The book also asks how these insights can inspire educational reform in the knowledge era, in which optimising learning is the driving force and where innovation is both the widespread catalyst of change and the defining result.

Innovating to Learn, Learning to Innovate is published by the OECD Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI) and can be ordered from the OECD online bookstore.
