New ACA “Guide to 100 Academic Networks World-Wide”

Academic life today is marked by cooperation of universities across borders and by the presence of higher education associations, consortia and networks of various types and geographic contexts. The aims, history and activities of these associations, however, are less tangible for outsiders. Why were they founded? Who and where are their members? How can they be contacted? What do they do, i.e. what is their lifeblood?

The Handbook of International Associations in Higher Education strives to answer these questions by systematically presenting 100 higher education associations from various continents as well as their global counterparts. Most importantly, the publication seeks to showcase the interrelation among the various networks and, by doing so, to provide information for future cooperation and partnerships.

The book, which has been supported by the Asia-Europe Foundation, can be ordered at info@aca-secretariat.be as of 10 April.
