NAWA’s support to students and scientists from Belarus and the Ulam programme

The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) will manage three support programmes for students and scientists from Belarus on behalf of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education. NAWA will grant scholarships for academics from this country in cooperation with the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP).

In total, 150 scholarships will be awarded to students for the academic year 2020/2021 under the "Solidary with Studentsprogramme, funded by NAWA with PLN 2 million (ca. EUR 400 000). Furthermore, 25 research fellowships will be awarded to Belarusian scientists under the “Solidarity with Scientists” programme equipped with the same budget.  Finally, NAWA will award 15 scholarships to Polish language teachers under the “Solidary with Teachers” programmes.

Furthermore, NAWA has opened a second round of applications under the Ulam Programme. This programme will allow scientists who hold at least a doctoral degree to visit Poland to participate in the scientific activities of Polish research organisations. Visits can last from 6 to 24 months. This programme funds scholarships that cover a monthly living allowance of PLN 10,000 (ca. EUR 2200) a month along with a mobility allowance. The call for proposals  is open from 25 March to 15 June 2021.
