The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has launched their Strategic Partnerships Programme, open for applications to HEIs until 13 January 2022 (15:00 Warsaw time).The objective of this Programme is to develop durable solutions in the area of scientific implementation and teaching process cooperation, pursued within the framework of international academic partnerships, while the results of this call should provide the foundation for the development of a long-lasting cooperation of entities forming a Partnership. Projects implemented under the Strategic Partnerships Programme shall be in line with a long-term development policy of an Applicant and Partners.

Solidarity with Belarus – 2nd edition of the NAWA Programme

Out of over 1,821 applicants for the ‘Solidarity with Belarus – Students’ initiative, organised by the NAWA, almost 400 students have received a scholarship this year. In 2021, over PLN 5 million have been allocated for this purpose.

NAWA’s director, Grażyna Żebrowska, explained how the programme helped students from Belarus. In last year’s edition, the offer spanned from online Polish language courses for young people from Belarus to scholarships for students, researchers and teachers alike. This year, observing the unceasing need to support students from Belarus, the initiative was extended to include both the best performing scholarship holders from last year and new students who have commenced their studies only this year and have not yet benefited from such an opportunity.
