More transparency on EU-funded projects

The European Commission strives to enhance the visibility of EU-funded projects, with the launch of EVE (Espace Virtuel d'Echange) – an online tool meant to ease the access to the results and details of projects supported by the Education and Culture Directorate-General (DG EAC) programmes. The tool enables the beneficiaries of the Lifelong Learning, Culture, Youth in Action and Citizenship programmes to gain visibility on the European Union website.

More concretely, the platform contains projects-related information, such as: learning materials, handbooks, manuals, CDs, etc.; projects’ websites, links to different databases; personal testimonials from project participants; documents and guidelines; associations and European partnerships. For more specific information on a certain project and its results, the project coordinator, whose details are included in the specific information on the project, can be contacted. EVE will expand as the projects develop and the coordinators insert the results on the electronic platform.

EVE is not only a tool for the future – it already contains information on hundreds of projects funded under the 2000-2006 Education and Culture programmes. The overarching objective of the initiative is to provide users with a centralised vision of the majority of education projects funded by the European Commission.
