In May, NAFSA released its latest paper called Measuring and assessing internationalisation which focuses on institutional performance and student learning as the two critical and interconnected frameworks for evaluating the results of internationalisation initiatives. The author Dr. Green convincingly argues that institutions should support both of these goals simultaneously and pay increased attention to the compatibility of selected indicators with their mission. However, regardless of the rationales for internationalisation in the first place, enhancing student learning should be one of the most prominent goals on every institution’s mind.
