On 17 and 18 October 2019, CMEPIUS, Slovenia's internationalisation agency, and the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA), will be co-organising a one-and-a-half-day conference entitled Glocalisation: Linking the Far and the Near in Higher Education.

The conference will address both the internationalisation dimension ('the Far') and aspects of engagement with local and regional actors, sometimes also summarised as the 'third mission' ('the Near'), as well as the many interrelations and frictions between the two dimensions. The conference is to mainly showcase examples of good practice in 'glocalisation'. Furthermore, it intends to provide space for generating new ideas for projects on the issue. 

The event will be held in one of Europe's most beautiful spots, Bled in Slovenia, in the colourful Slovenian Indian summer. Bled is conveniently located close to Ljubljana International Airport, the country's gate to the world.  Currently, CMEPIUS and ACA are putting together the programme and enlisting top-notch speakers.

Registrations will open at the beginning of May 2019.
