The European Commission’s DG for Education and Culture has produced an eight-page leaflet on progress towards the Lisbon objectives in the field of education and training. The colorful leaflet contains graphical presentation of data on the five EU benchmarks in this area, namely the number of early school leavers, completion of upper secondary education, lifelong learning of adults, low achieving in reading, and number of graduates in Maths, Science and Technology. Data are presented both by benchmark and by individual countries. This allows for comparison between countries, but importantly also an individual country’s progress between 2000 and 2006.
