Watched pot never boils. Brexit negotiations are not yet providing answers and the mists are still thick around the future of UK-EU future relations – also when it comes to higher education.
Fears about what will happen to research, collaboration and study exchanges between the UK and the rest of the European countries led the leaders of 22 European higher education institutions (HEIs) to sign a letter addressed to the European governments urging for more clarity on the UK's participation in Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+ after Brexit.
Uncertainty is giving a headache to universities, who do not know how to handle the exchange of students and researcher to and from other countries with the risk of a stall.
