La mobilité des étudiants d’Afrique sub-saharienne et du Maghreb

Campus France. La mobilité des étudiants d’Afrique sub-saharienne et du Maghreb. Les notes de Campus France I Hors-série n° 7 - Juin 2013. Pages: 28.

In its Note La Mobilité des Étudiants d’Afrique Sub-Saharienne et du Maghreb, the French national agency Campus France answers many questions regarding international student mobility to and from Sub-Saharan Africa and the Maghreb. The note is divided into four parts. The first one provides a map on incoming and outgoing students, accompanied by an analysis of the mobility figures. Although the note mostly focuses on African-French relations, the second part also analyses the presence of China, Germany and the United Kingdom in the region. The third section shows the number of African students in France (126 286 in 2011-2012, 43% of all international students) and comments on the twelve most important countries of origin. The fourth part provides brief information on events in 2013 and scholarship programs. At the end of the note, one can also find detailed statistical country sheets for the 12 countries analysed.
