Josef Leidenfrost first president of ‘new’ ENOHE

Josef Leidenfrost, a former ACA Vice-President (1994-1997) and today the Austrian Ombudsman for students, was elected the first President of the ‘new’ ENOHE. We congratulate and wish him success and luck. The same goes for the newly elected Vice-President, Jean Grier from the University of Edinburgh, the new Treasurer Anna Cybulko from the University of Warsaw, and Bo Gad Køhlert, the new Secretary, from the University of Copenhagen.

ENOHE, the European Network of Ombudspersons in Higher Education, was founded as an informal network already in 2003. It now has acquired a legal personality, that of an association (Verein) under Austrian law. The ‘new’ ENOHE held its first General Assembly in Léon, Spain, on 27 June 2019, back-to-back with its fifteenth annual conference. The General Assembly elected the members forming the governing bodies of ENOHE.

Representatives of universities and central offices from more than 20 predominantly European countries are currently involved in ENOHE. The main goals of the newly founded association are the promotion of university ombudspersons, the implementation of analogous and digital activities, the exchange of experiences between members as well as cooperation with national and international networks.
