The overall objectives of this call for tenders from the European Commission are to quality assure and update information currently contained in the European Inventory (European Inventory on validation of non-formal and informal learning 2004 and 2005, Colardyn and Bjornavold 2005), and to further develop the format and presentation of the European Inventory to facilitate exchange of experiences and support mutual learning.

The contractor is expected to achieve the following results:

• To produce two updates of the Inventory, covering all countries involved in the  Education and training 2010 Agenda;
• To further develop and finalise a flexible electronic format supporting the needs of diverse users with different needs;
• To suggest solutions for future updating and maintenance of the Inventory, including closer integration into other lifelong learning information systems currently being developed by the European Commission, Cedefop and OECD.
